Basic structure of sapphire:
Sapphire is composed of alumina (Al2O3), which is composed of three

type, its crystal structure is hexagonal lattice structure,

symmetry classification of crystals, tripartite crystal system.
As far as color is concerned, the simple crystallization of alumina
is transparent and colorless, because different color element ions
penetrate and grow in the sapphire, so that the sapphire shows

ions (Ti3+) and iron ions (Fe3+), which will make the crystal
appear and become Blue Sapphire.
